Well, if you are the king of the Internet, and have a market cap higher that the GNP of all the developed countries in the world plus Bill Gates and Warren Buffet (well- almost) you have, well, at least 45.

Still not convinced blogs are great business tools? If I hear one more “I want a website- not a blog” from someone who can’t tell a browser from a broaster- it’s time to leave Dayton OH for somewhere where people want to learn how to win at business.
The word Blog needs to go away. It’s a very smart, backend for a sophisticated content management system that can get to the top of Google without having to pay for your position. Blogs can also allow anyone to manage content for a site.
If Google is doing it- why aren’t you? Take the Websitetology seminar and become a brilliant asset to your company.
A client asked what happened to the undo button in WordPress 2.1- I thought it disapeared with the autosave- but with a little help from Google- I found an “Easter egg” function in WordPress.
WordPress 2.1 – More Editor Options » Solo Technology
Recently upgraded to WordPress 2.1 and pondering the WYSIWYG editor? Did you know there are more options there than what you first see? Me neither! But, thanks to “codeispoetry†in this support thread, I do now.
Go from this:
Basic toolbars
to this:
Advanced toolbar
PC users just hit alt-shift-v (Firefox) or alt-v (IE) to toggle it. Mac users– use cntrl-v (Firefox)
(Not seeing either of those? Visit Users → Your Profile and make sure that “Use the visual editor when writing†is checked. Still having problems? Visit the WordPress support forums.)
Pasting from word processors just became a whole lot easier. Two of the new buttons are “Paste as Plain Text†and “Paste from Word.†Nice for those who use such things. I like the custom character thing too. Now I can easily add ∞ whenever I need it…
I’ve been working on a managing a site for a client. Actually, a whole bunch of sites. And, as luck would have it, she uses GoDaddy to manage her domain registrations.
Well, when some of her sites expired, GoDaddy put up their “Expired holding page”- no problem, but when she renewed all the domains – they didn’t revert to her nameservers- it still showed GoDaddy’s holding page. Bad.
So, I had to go into GoDaddy’s admin pages from hell. Not only is the interface worse than an IRS tax form- the site is slower than an 8086 processor in a core duo world.
I’ve used Bulk register for years- but they just got bought by enom, even so, on their worst day they are a pleasure to use compared to GoDaddy.
Which is really too bad- because back in the early days of competitive registrars- GoDaddy was one of the better ones. Now, they are right up there with Network Solutions as an avoid at all costs domain registrar.
